Cravings

So I don't know exactly what is good out there as far as food, but I can dream. Last night, around 7, I was talking with my good friend Kelly Kellog. He told me my mommy doesn't like cereal. I couldn't believe it! Kelly said his older brothers and sisters had a fight with mommy before she was born. So I thought I would help her heal the wound. I think cream of wheat tastes soooo yummy! I told mommy she should have some! She didn't get any though. I will just have to keep it up for later. She'll cave soon!

Mommy's Response: New Hotair Balloon

Mommy sent me an email this morning. I got my first reprimand! See this is what she wrote:

Dear Bater,
I really wish you would wait to blow up hot air balloons until you are the appropriate age of 18. Mommy's tummy isn't the best place for a hot air balloon.
I also fully appreciate that you might be clostrophobic, but it's only going to get worse, my sweet child. Making Mommy sick anytime there's pressure on you probably isn't going to help you in any future negotiations when you want the car or don't want to baby-sit your younger sibblings.
In spite of all that, I love you, and I'm kind of glad you make me sick each day. It helps reassure me that you are there.
Love,
Mommy

New Hotair Balloon

Last night I found the coolest website: www.blastvalve.com. It's a hotair balloning supply site. So I ordered myself one. They delivered within an hour!

So I got my balloon all set up and tested it. Worked wonderfully well. Mommy's stomach expanded just as it should have! Isn't nature and technology awesome!

New Experiences

So this heart thing is kinda cool. Here I am just sitting around growing and I have my own little metronome. Tick tick tick! I'd tell you what it sounds like but I wouldn't know I can't hear yet! Remember? No ears!

I just realized as well that I am getting more and more courageous in my 5 weeks of development...I'm growing my spine. It's kinda cool! I can blow air bubbles down it right now because it's hollow! Well I guess that would happen if I had air in here and if I had a mouth... But that's besides the point. I just wanted to take this time to say how much I love my mommy. She is letting me stay here rent free for the next little while. I think I am going to have to do some re-arranging though. I don't know if that pancreas and spleen are in the right spot. I think I will move them around a bit in the near future.

New Toilet

Just a quick one. Last night I found a new little addition to my home...a toilet! When I pull the handle, mommy gets up and goes to the bathroom! I will have to use this more often! If I don't like sitting around, I can get her to get up and move. Fun!

Where I Get My Name

So I just want to explain something. My name is Bater because my Daddy calls my Mommy Incu and me Bater. Together we are an incubated.

First Contact

Today, my mommy and daddy let the world know about me... they told my great-aunt!  She tweeted!  Guess what...I'm coming and I am ready for the world.  Over the last couple of days, I've been finding myself.  I'm about the size of a sesame seed.  I sure wish my mom would stop eating them, it makes me a little uncomfortable.  I am in three pieces, but don't worry, I will be pulling myself together soon.

This morning, I woke up and there was a sudden "thump, thump", "thump, thump".  I couldn't quite understand where it was coming from.  It wasn't the computer, the DMZ server, the TV, the stereo, or the Blu-Ray player.  I looked around and around.  I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.  I pressed my soon to be ears up against my mommy's tummy, and still couldn't figure out where it was coming from!  I finally just sat down, on my soon to be rear-end, and then I felt it!  It was coming from inside.  I googled "thump thump" and sure enough, third link down "Learning about your heart!"  I have a heart!  This is awesome.

P.S. - Followup: 5:55 pm MST - I found out that my Daddy told great-grandma, she told my daddy's cousin, who told my great-aunt and she told the world via tweet!  Isn't technology grand!  How can I leverage this for my college fund?  Any suggestions?
